COMPUTER AIDED DRAFTING

 

Subject: Computer Aided Drafting  (CAD)

Grade: 9, 10, 11, 12 (Class Size around 15 Students)

Length of Course: One Semester

Prerequisite: None

 

CURRICUUM BENCHMARKS:

·        Identify various line types.

·        Sketch orthographic and isometric views.

·        Produce drawings using CAD software.

·        Modify, change and dimension drawings.

·        Reproduce hard copy of drawings using a plotter.

 

 

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

The study of computer-aided drafting is one of many courses that can be taken in the industrial technology field. This class involves a number of different learning experiences. The student will learn orthographic projection, isometric views, use of a cad system. There will be problems drawn on the cad system using the computers. Students will be evaluated on problems drawn using the CAD program.

 

WHAT STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED TO DO:

1) Complete assigned work as assigned.

2) Do assigned orthographic, isometric, and cad drawings.

3) Take proper care of all equipment.

4) Be neat and clean in all drawings.

5) Take all tests and quizzes.
