6th Grade
We have some important dates coming up that we would like you to mark on your calendars. One of these dates is Earth Day. The 6th graders will be running the stations for Earth Day which will be on April 30th, at Hillview. We will be collaborating with Victoria to provide educational and environmental awareness to all elementary students that day. Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately (watch the weather) and brings a sack lunch with plenty of water to drink throughout the day. Sunscreen and hats may also be worn.

Our second date to remember will be on May 23rd. We will again be at Hillview Park for an exciting outdoor adventure. For this trip, we will need some adult volunteers for supervision. If you are interested in joining us, please contact your child’s homeroom teacher. We will be participating in many outdoor recreational activities, such as canoeing, shelter building, and fishing. Lunch will be provided for the students on this trip. Please make sure to send a water bottle and again, please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for being outside all day. We’re so excited to be taking our classroom learning outdoors for these activities!
If you have any questions about these or any upcoming events on the calendar, please email Mrs. Petersen (, Mr. Rife (, or Mr. Bertling (
