On Friday, Iowa schools were sent new guidance for the rest of the year regarding COVID-19. In summary, they recommend that schools lift the mask requirement. Hinton Schools will follow the guidance and remove the mask requirement immediately. Masks are no longer required in school buildings, at school events, or on district transportation. Students, staff, and community members who wish to continue to wear masks will be fully supported, but this will be a personal choice. As a result of this guidance, students who are exposed to positive COVID-19 cases are no longer required to quarantine. Only those who test positive will be required to isolate per the new guidance. We thank the Hinton community for your support over the course of this unprecedented year.
