The school garden club and agriculture students planted several varieties of vegetables last spring and the blackhawk school garden is thriving! We would love to share the produce with any students and community members in need! The school garden is located on the north side of the bus barn. Go check it out!

As a PBIS School, TK-3 starts each year with a PBIS Bootcamp to teach and practice expectations in every school setting. Today we learned about bus riding expectations and practiced an evacuation drill.

Any junior high boy or girl interested in going out for cross country should meet in the HS lobby during 8th hour on Tuesday, August 23rd for an informational meeting. The first day of practice will be Wednesday. All are welcome.
No MS VB parent meeting. Info will be handed out during open house on August 22. Practice will start Aug. 23. You must have an athletic physical before you can practice.

Western Iowa Tech Classes Start Soon!
The school board accepted a $6K donation from the late Lee Jarvis, which was presented by his sons, Steve and Dave. The money will go towards planting trees along the third base side of the softball field. Mr. Jarvis took great pride in Hinton. We thank you! #legacy
Lunchtime Solutions came in before the board meeting to give the board a student perspective of one of their family style meals. A tasty lasagna meal with garlic bread, roasted broccoli, and a fresh side salad. 😋
