Hello Hinton Music Department friends and families!
Today we start the one-week online portion of our online Mattress Fundraiser.
Please consider a purchase from the website to benefit the Hinton Music Department.
The Website is here: www.forthesleep.com
PLEASE USE CODE "HINTON" FOR 10% OFF YOUR ONLINE ORDER!!!
At checkout, in the note to seller section, please add your favorite student’s name and HINTON MUSIC so we get the credit. Don’t worry if you forget, they will reach out to confirm who the purchase will benefit!
An exciting promotion they are offering is 12 months, 0% interest financing (credit application and auto pay required) on purchases over $1000. Pass the word along! Send them an email to get the process started!
We would like to remind everyone that CFS is available for contact anytime by phone (712-249-5551), email (cfsomaha@cfsbeds.com), on our Facebook page messenger (@cfsomahane), or any of the prefill forms on the website, www.forthesleep.com. They are here to answer any questions that you may have.
Thank you for your support of the Hinton Music Department!

Parade Info! Thank you to all participants. Line up is on Starview Dr starting at 1:30 and parade starts at 2:30. Traditional route down frontage road, and then north on Main St. The only change this year is we ask that no candy be tossed from floats.

Correction: The Homecoming bonfire this Saturday that is replacing the dance will be held at Tucker Hill, NOT at Hillview.

September 25 is cheer camp for students in grades TK-5! Registration is due Monday, September 14!

We have had numerous parents and staff members ask about the masks we purchased for students and staff regarding whether they could buy more. So glad you like them!I have contacted the company and we need to order a minimum of 500 to do a reorder. If you would be interested in ordering additional masks, please e-mail Kim Jauer with the number you would like to purchase at $7.00 each. If we have enough interest to meet our quota, we will send out order forms and do a re-order. At that time, you would select your size and pay for the mask. This is NOT a fundraiser. We are rounding up to the nearest dollar, so any extra funds would be put in the general fund to help with the costs for disinfectant supplies.

Reminder Hinton CSD will have an early dismissal time of 1:20 tomorrow, Friday, 9/11, for teacher professional development.

Hinton 4-12th grade students will return to on-site learning on Thursday, September 10th. Our data shows that the Plymouth County positivity rate has gone down for 3 consecutive days and is currently below 20%. The District absenteeism rate due to illness is well below our 10% concern level. Please continue to follow CDC guidelines.

MS football at Sloan today 9-8-20 has been postponed to 9-10-20. There will be practice at regular time and transportation will be sent to pick up kids that have requested it just like a normal day.

JV football game tonight 9-8-20 at Moville has been cancelled due to weather conditions.

We are currently experiencing issues regarding the content filter, Securly, that protects students from inappropriate or malicious content. This is affecting your child’s access to the internet. We are waiting for a resolution from @securly

Hinton Schools has a scheduled early dismissal on Friday, 9/4. The early dismissal for Prof Development next week will be moved to Friday, 9/11 for ALL grades to protect learning time while grades 4-12 are using the Hybrid Model. There will be no early dismissal on Wed, 9/9/20.

7-12 students: You need to check your emails and Canvas by 8 am those 3 days you are at home, including Fridays. Attendance is required for each class, but how attendance is earned will be determined by each individual teacher. Fridays are still school days and teachers might require Zoom sessions.

No C team volleyball game tonight 9-3-20 vs RSM. JV will play and start at 5:00 with the Varsity game to follow.

Unfortunately due to limited available players the Varsity football game Friday September 4 with Gehlen has been cancelled.

Parents of MS sports:
With the hybrid model in place for the time being, here is what MS sports will look like:
Practices: we will offer a bus that will pick up students on off days for practices and games. If your child rides the bus to school then we can pick them up. Should you need a ride contact Janet Held. Some have reached out and Janet Held will be contacting you for those arrangements.
Practice times:
Monday 2:40-4:30
Tuesday 2:40-4:30
Wednesday-2:40-3:20 ONLY THE KIDS IN SCHOOL WILL MEET.
Thursday 2:40-4:30
Friday-3:20-5:00 OPTIONAL...NO BUS PICKUP FOR PRACTICE THAT DAY
On game days a bus will come to pick kids up like practices.
PARENTS ARE TO PICK UP KIDS AFTER PRACTICES AND GAMES.
XC runners will work that out with Coach Hertenstein.
Should we go 100% online then all sports will be suspended.
Any questions contact Brian DeJong at the school.
Thank you~

Blackhawks fans just a reminder. When we are playing activities out of town it’s best to have a mask with you for entry into that facility.
