7th grade TAG students took their classroom learning about survival out into the real world on Monday with Naturalist Victoria. They built a shelter, started a fire, and made s'mores.

Students traded their black and gold for blue today in support of the Remsen St. Mary's girls injured in the accident last weekend. All funds raised today will go to the girls and their families.

Yesterday, our 4-6 Student Council members spent lunch and recess with the TK and Kindergarten students. From soccer to tag and even a few rounds of Duck Duck Goose, we loved seeing laughter, leadership, and connection across grades.

As we keep the Remsen St. Mary's girls' basketball team and their families in our thoughts and prayers, we want to show our support by having a BLUE OUT on Thursday, November 20. We will be accepting donations at students' classrooms/homerooms on Thursday. Please make checks out to St. Mary's. The school will take the donations to American Bank in Remsen, where an account has been set up. All in Blue! 💙

Last Thursday, the 7th grade TAG students learned about emergency first aid from Chief Conway, Officer Logan, and Paramedic Theresa. This lesson is a continuation of their Survival Unit as they read the book, The Call of the Wild.

Come check out the new stage lights and curtains at the musical "Emma! A Pop Musical" this Friday and Saturday, November 14 & 15, at 7pm!

The Hinton Soundwaves completed another all-day choreography rehearsal on Saturday! Students spent the day polishing their whole show, plugging in a surprise guest, eating pizza, and playing skit-in-a-bag. We are so excited to share our show with you next semester!

Thanks to all service members past and present. It was an honor to recognize you today in our Veterans Day Program. Special thanks to our BLC members for planning and presenting at the program and to Colonel Kim Henningsen for being our guest speaker.

Volleyball banquet for players and their parents will be Monday November 17th at 6:30 in the MP! Ice cream sundaes and awards!

The 4th grade TAG students had an amazing day at Northwestern College for the Iowa State Extension Junior Science and Technology Fair. 5 groups brought home blue ribbons, 1 group brought home red ribbons, Braelynn Hardersen and Evelynne Cotter were awarded the Best Teamwork and Cooperation award, and Adriana Goetstouwers placed 3rd overall. A fantastic day of science, learning, and fun!

National Honor Society Induction Ceremony is Tuesday, Nov 11 at 6:30 PM in the Multi-Purpose Room.
