New doors were installed last weekend and the main entrance doors will be replaced next weekend. Those doors will finish up Phase 1 of our facility improvement plan using SAVE funds which are generated from the one cent sales tax




FCCLA state President, Addison Kovarna, used her leadership skills during two Fall Leadership Rallies held in Cedar Rapids on October 9th and in Fort Dodge on October 2nd. Over 1000 members from across the state attended and competed at these fall meetings. Addison lead opening and closing sessions and presented breakout sessions. Wednesday, the 4th graders went on a field trip to River's Bend Wildlife Area and Five Ridge Prairie in Westfield. They explored the Loess Hills studying landscapes, glaciation, flood plains, and water effects on the landscape. Students created their own glacier, studied rocks, and hiked 150 feet in the Loess Hills! They had a 'rockin' day with the Plymouth County Naturalist, Victoria!






The Hinton FFA Chapter will be handing out sack lunches at the Hinton CVA today. If you are a farmer in our community please stop by to grab a lunch. Please feel free to take as many lunches as you need. See you there!



Come support your Hinton volleyball team on Thursday when we take on Lemars Gehlen! It’s also Pink Out/Youth night! Any 3rd-8th graders can get in free wearing their pink camp shirt!

The soils judging team competed in the District FFA Soils Judging contest on Wednesday, September 25th in Emmetsburg. The team was made up of Kennedy Hensley, Haley Copenhaver, Kayla Sypersma, and Allison Hoefling. FFA members had to evaluate slope, soil color, soil texture, and suitable use for four different soil pits. They also had to take a general knowledge test.The team placed 6th out of 21 teams! Congratulations!
