I was so proud to see all of the amazingly accountable students at our soaring summit this morning! I was very gratified to be able to recognize Carson Divis for being a student who is among the most responsible students that I have ever had in 21 years of teaching! He always does what he needs to do without prompting or complaining. He is a leader who goes out of his way to help others as well! WAY TO GO!!!

Our FBLA members attended an informative discussion hosted by Sioux Center FBLA to learn more about FBLA and FBLA events. They got to listen to the Iowa FBLA District 2 Vice President speak about her experience in FBLA. We are excited to learn more about this organization!

Congratulations to members of our Hinton Speech Team! They performed at State Contest on Saturday at Kuemper Catholic High School in Carroll. Our Blackhawks made us proud and earned either good or superior ratings! Way to go!

Students had a great time at the WEC leadership conference held at Northwestern College.

Today our 4-6 students celebrated positive behavior with a dodgeball tournament!

Hinton welding students attended the "Blue collar welding tour " in South Sioux City put on by Western Welding Academy. There were over 200 students in attendance from 9 area schools.

District FFA Convention was held at MOC-FV High School yesterday. Below are the results! Congratulations to Haley Copenhaver who was elected to serve at the District Treasurer for 2024-2025! She is the first Hinton FFA member to be elected to District Office! Creed Speaking- Mady Hoppe; 4th Place Gold and Alternate to State Floriculture- Brooklyn Grasmeyer, Kayla Sypersma (11th Place Overall), and Maggie Holtgrew Ag Mechanics- Marcus Loutsch, Blake Schoenherr, Wyatt Schoenherr, and Memphis Hueneke; 9th Place Team Agonomy- Hudson Hueneke and Kennedy Hensley; Results to Come Kennedy Hensley and Brooklyn Grasmeyer served as delegates for the business session.
