All State Music Festival 2022 was an amazing experience! 1st year All-Stater Ian Hertenstein-Bass 1 and 2nd year All-Stater Emily Bach- Trumpet 1 had a great weekend in Ames rehearsing and performing with hundreds of the finest musicians across the state. IPTV will broadcast the All-State Festival Concert on Thursday, November 24 at 7PM and on Sunday, December 4 at 1PM.


Mark your calendars for these upcoming Christmas Vocal & Band Concerts:
4th-6th grade December 5, TK-3rd December 13 and 7th-12th grade December 15. All concerts are at 7:00 p.m. and are at the High School gym.

Hinton CSD is honoring our veterans on Veteran's Day at 9:00 am in the elementary gym and 10:15 am in the high school gym this Friday, 11/11/22.

Looking for something to do this weekend? Come check out Hinton's production of "The Sound of Music" on Friday, Nov. 11 and Saturday, Nov. 12---both at 7PM. Over 30 students in grades 2-12 are a part of this amazing show. Tickets are available at the door for $8/adult and $5/students. Athletic passes are not accepted for the musical. We can't wait to see you this weekend!

Ten 7th and 8th grade musicians attended the Northwest Iowa Junior High Treble and Bass Choral Festival on Tuesday, November 1 in Storm Lake. Hinton joined 39 other schools at this festival. Way to soar, Blackhawk Musicians!





Feliz Dia de los Muertos! Hinton Spanish students celebrated the Mexican holiday Day of the Dead with calacas, ofrendas and of course lots of food!
