Mr. Sargent's 8th Grade Business Exploratory class just completed their quarter long project. The students learned about multiple business topics as they progressed through the quarter long course. The Shoebox Window Display project allowed the students to apply what they had learned. Shown here are the People Choice selections. Addy - Dick's Sporting Goods: Zach - Culver's; and Lainee - Nike.

This past week FBLA hosted WITCC Accounting/Finance Professor Jennifer McCune. Professor McCune spoke with Mr Sargent's 3rd period Accounting Class about the opportunities that currently exist for students who want to purse a career in Accounting/Finance. The students had a lot of questions about education requirements, wages/pay and where the opportunities exist in the area.

FBLA was on the MOVE! This past Thursday FBLA members were able to get half of their business tours in prior to the weather causing the day to be cut short. FBLA members had the opportunity to tour NIPCO and learn about careers, employment opportunities, and education / training requirements for a local business that helps ensure that lights stay on in communities in western Iowa

Congratulations to Mrs. Iversen and the TK-6 music program for being awarded a gift of $1000 from Midwest All Music Association. MAMA is a non-profit agency dedicated to acknowledging Iowa and Midwest musicians, singers, bands, and venues. Funds are raised through Hall of Fame and music performance fundraising events, which, in turn, make it possible for the organization to give back to Iowa's young music students. Thank you Midwest All Music Association. We appreciate your generosity!

For your planning purposes, we may have some snow on Thursday night into Friday morning. If the weather conditions are such that we will have a late start, we will not have our Friday early dismissal. We will dismiss students from their respective schools at their regular times, 3:20 pm for the 4th- 12th and 3:25 pm for the PK-3 Elementary.
