The Hinton Music Department has been busy preparing for their upcoming concerts. Don't forget to mark these dates and times on your calendar to support the Blackhawk Musicians. There is no admission charge for any of the December concerts.


FBLA hosted the State of Iowa Auditor Rob Sand. Mr. Sand spoke with students about his responsibilities as auditor, career opportunities and ethics. The course of the high school students in Mr. Sargent's Business classes are learning about various business topics; including ethics.


Hinton CSD Shared Operations Director, Kyle Utech, and Hinton Superintendent, Ken Slater were in Pocahontas today for some training for completing the new lowa House File 2412 Requirements on radon, which includes all attendance centers for radon. This has to be implemented by July 1, 2027.

All State Music Festival 2022 was an amazing experience! 1st year All-Stater Ian Hertenstein-Bass 1 and 2nd year All-Stater Emily Bach- Trumpet 1 had a great weekend in Ames rehearsing and performing with hundreds of the finest musicians across the state. IPTV will broadcast the All-State Festival Concert on Thursday, November 24 at 7PM and on Sunday, December 4 at 1PM.


Mark your calendars for these upcoming Christmas Vocal & Band Concerts:
4th-6th grade December 5, TK-3rd December 13 and 7th-12th grade December 15. All concerts are at 7:00 p.m. and are at the High School gym.
