
We are so proud of our Hinton Blackhawk musicians who took on the challenge of preparing for and auditioning for the 2022 All State Music Festival--Dylan Hartman, Emily Bach, and Ian Hertenstein.
Congratulations to Emily Bach for being selected for Trumpet 1 in the Iowa All State Band and Ian Hertenstein for being selected for Bass 1 in the Iowa All State Chorus. The IHSMA All State Festival Concert will take place on November 19 in Ames and will be broadcast on IPTV on Thanksgiving.

The Northwest Iowa Bandmasters Association Junior High Honor Band auditions took place this weekend in Storm Lake. 8th grader Caden Koopmans was selected for the second year in a row! He will be 2nd chair trombone in the Red Band for their concert on November 5 in Sioux Center.


The JH student council will be selling lemonade on Wednesday, October 19 from 7:45-8:00 in the concession stand. Cost is $2.00. Let your kids get a cool, refreshing drink to start their morning and support the JH student council!
